TL;DR: Owner has been inactive for a long time and I will try to see what I can do. All chats will be muted for the mean time.
Hey everyone, I wanted to share something with you all from the heart and I am sorry it took this long.
The original owner has been inactive for a while now, and unfortunately I haven't been able to get in touch with them despite trying. Because of that, I am going to see what I can do with Spawning myself.
Current Situation
My access is pretty limited right now. I don't have control over:
- The server payment panel
- The webstore: I am trying to talk to an old spawning manager for access as well.
- Discord bots (although I could try to obtain their tokens from server files)
I know the server was open for some time but has now been closed for a while.
> At the moment, I can see the server is still running (but closed) and I have access to it which means it's actively being paid for still. I have no clue if this is intentional, or if the owner paid for a year plan: I do not know. I just know it could shut down anytime. I am going to plan out what to do from here.
I have checked the panel activity log and the original owner has not done anything in over 4 months. This is very worrying and I hope they are okay.
I know the original owner mentioned at one point that there was a possibility of bringing in a new owner, but it received a lot of feedback. I will see what I can do with Spawning, everyone here is very kind! heart<3
I really want to see if I can continue the server, as I know the owner would be proud the server has gone somewhere. I know this server has reached its 6th anniversary as well, meaning its been up since March 2020.
Even if you don't want to continue playing Minecraft in general, whether you have moved on to other servers or anything that is okay! I want to see what I can do with Spawning myself.
What's Next
For a while, I'm likely to going to mute all the chats so I can get things properly sorted out. I know this might be annoying, but it's for the best at the moment.
This might take a while.
